Georgia Tech improved to 2-0 with a solid victory over Middle Tennessee State. Georgia Tech quarterback Tevin Washington had another great performance going 7-12 and throwing for 256 yards with 3 touchdowns and one interception. On the ground Washington ran for 155 yards with 3 more touchdowns. His only blemishes were two fumbles in the 4th quarter, one was returned for a touchdown. Fullback David Sims ran for 149 yards and 3 touchdowns. Receiver Tyler Melton had 3 receptions for 194 yards and 3 touchdowns.
The Georgia Tech defense started slow in the 1st half giving up 20 points. In the 2nd half the defense gave up no points. Free safety Rashaad Reid led the team with 5 solo tackles, he also had the only interception of the game. The defense also recorded 7 sacks.
The Yellow Jackets look to continue their dominance vs Kansas next week.
