Georgia Tech had another slow start vs Kansas on Saturday. Down 13-0. With 2 minutes left, Georgia Tech scored and added a field goal to bring the score to 13-10 at the half. Tech added 3 more scores and a field goal in the 2nd half and pulled away 34-13. Kansas had a late TD pass in garbage time.
Tevin Washington couldn't get the ball moving all game, going 7-19 for 72 yards in the air with one interception. He ran for 167 yards and two scores. Orwin Smith added 71 yards on the ground. David Smith added another touchdown. Cornerback Louis Young had the biggest play of the day, bringing an interception 97 yards for the score.
The Yellow Jackets start ACC play next week against North Carolina.
