    CARRY THE MOMENTUM

    _____Kansas State is in need of a morale booster. The Wildcats had to sweat out a last-second victory over Wyoming and are hoping things go much easier this time. With a tough game at Miami up next, K-State needs to find some success on offense and continue its encouraging play on defense.
    _____With an extra week to prepare and an expanded playbook at their disposal, the Wildcats should score a few touchdowns against Kent State and get a relatively easy win before the schedule gets hard.
    _____The Golden Flashes are deep at wide receiver. Quarterback Spencer Keith has completed passes to 8 players. Justin Thompson has been his top target, catching 6 passes for 102 yards.
    _____This should be an easy win for the Cats.

    KANSAS STATE DOES IT THE HARD WAY...AGAIN

    _____Kansas State, which needed a touchdown pass by Klein in the closing minutes two weeks ago to beat Wyoming, had similar trouble with the Golden Flashes. K-State finding away to win with a 94-yard kick-return by the 5'5" Robert Rose.
    _____"Roberts' play was huge for us, I think it's funny to use the word huge when mentioning Rose," said Coach LooEece "but in this case it's the prefect word to describe his role in this game."
    _____Klein finished with 177 yards passing and 55 yards rushing, nearly becoming the first Kansas State quarterback since Allen Webb in 2004 to eclipse 100 yards in each category. He had a hand in each of the touchdowns scored by the offense, one on the ground and one through the air.
    _____Klein hit Brodrick Smith deep on a beautiful pass for a 54-yard TD.
    _____The Golden Flashes have started 0-3 for the first time since the 2000 season, Kansas State improves to 2-0. The Wildcats travel to South Beach next Saturday to play the Hurricanes of Miami.
    _____"If we come out and play like we have the last two games were going to get blow out of the water," said DaaVeed LooEece "We need to open the playbook on Offense and we need to tackle better on Defense."
